The Indianapolis Colts are expected to release running back D’vonte Price ahead of Tuesday’s deadline to reduce the roster to 53 players, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Price signed with the Colts as an undrafted rookie free agent out of FIU this offseason and worked mostly deep in the rotation of the backfield. He flashed some impressive speed both as a runner and as a return man on special teams.

It was going to be tough for Price to make the roster initially considering the depth already in the room, but he’s a strong candidate to be signed to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
