Report: Chiefs, Jawaan Taylor Agree on Four-Year, $80 Million Pact

The Chiefs and former Jaguars offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor agreed on a four-year, $80 million deal, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

The reported contract will include $60 million guaranteed, per Schefter. Taylor cannot sign the official contract until 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, when the new league year officially starts.

Taylor will join the Super Bowl LVII champions after four seasons with the Jaguars. He has started in all 66 regular-season games over those four years, plus two playoff contests.

The Jaguars’ season ended in the AFC divisional round, coincidentally by losing to the Chiefs, 27–20. Now Taylor will join the team that eliminated the Jaguars from the 2022 playoffs.

Taylor will work to protect two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes during the 2023 season, and through ’26 if he fulfills the contract.
