Running back Kareem Hunt requested a trade this summer to maximize his touches entering his contract season. The Cleveland Browns, however, were not willing to meet that request at the time. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, however, the Browns are now willing to deal their second-string running back who has just nine remaining games on his contract after their showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals.
The OBR’s Brad Stainbrook has already reported the Los Angeles Rams have been in contact with the Browns, and that the Browns’ asking price is a fourth round pick. The trade deadline is the afternoon of November 1, so barring a fax machine malfunction, it looks as though Hunt will get a chance to be a starter for at least nine games this season before entering free agency.
