NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are expected to start veteran quarterback Joe Flacco again this week. This is the best option for Cleveland even though Dorian Thompson-Robinson performed well the last time he played.
Flacco still has plenty of arm talent left in the tank as he showed in last week’s loss to the Rams. For now, the veteran showed that he gives the Browns the best chance to win. From here on out, every game is a must-win because Cleveland is in the driver’s seat for a playoff berth.
It appears that speedster Marquise Goodwin will return to the lineup this week, and with Flacco showing he likes to go deep, this could be an important piece to have back. The Jaguars are banged up, and the Browns are getting major pieces back, so they have no excuses not to go get their eighth win of the season.
