The NFL’s trade deadline is approaching the Denver Broncos might be a team to watch.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated recently published a rundown of the NFL’s trade market and he mentioned left tackle Garett Bolles, inside linebacker Josey Jewell, safety Justin Simmons and wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton as Broncos players who are expected to draw interest from other teams.
He also mentioned star cornerback Pat Surtain, but Breer speculated that PS2’s price in a hypothetical trade would be more than what the Los Angeles Rams paid in exchange for star cornerback Jalen Ramsey in 2019 (two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick).
Even at that price, though, Denver is “not open to trading” Surtain, according to The Athletic‘s Dianna Russini. The Broncos might end up making a few moves before the deadline, but the team isn’t having a fire sale and trading players at a discount.
One unnamed general manager told Russini “the Broncos aren’t selling cheaply.” Russini also reported that “no offer has come close to motivating GM George Paton to make a move,” but the team is listening to offers for Jeudy, Sutton and Jewell.
The NFL’s trade deadline is 2 p.m. MT on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
