The Chicago Bulls entered this offseason with one goal – improve the team. Rather than tearing down the roster, they decided to push forward, as Arturas Karnisovas made it clear that they didn’t want to enter a rebuild. In turn, all the moves they’ve made so far this summer have been in an attempt to make the roster better around the team’s stars.
They re-signed Nikola Vucevic and Coby White and brought in Jevon Carter and Torrey Craig in free agency. However, there is still one outstanding domino left to fall – Ayo Dosunmu‘s free agency. But it doesn’t seem like he’ll be back in Chicago next year.

“This is from sources close to him,” Jason said. “I don’t think he believes he will be back either. We were hearing Toronto is interested and is a likely option.”

In 80 appearances for the Bulls last year, Dosunmu played 26.2 minutes per contest. He averaged 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 49.3% from the field and 31.2% from beyond the three-point arc.
The Toronto Raptors were connected to Dosunmu earlier this summer, and it makes sense, as they don’t have a ton of point guard depth. They lost Fred VanVleet in free agency, and the only point guards on their roster are Dennis Schroder, who they signed, and Malachi Flynn.
Should the Bulls let Dosunmu walk or prioritize bringing him back?
