New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has announced her intention to file articles of impeachment in response to the recent Supreme Court ruling that grants limited immunity to former President Donald Trump against criminal prosecution related to his time in office.

Ocasio-Cortez expressed her concerns about the ruling, labeling it as an assault on American democracy. She emphasized the role of Congress in safeguarding the nation from what she described as authoritarian capture.
