Following his reelection as House speaker, Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana addressed the House by calling for a moment of silence to honor the victims of the recent New Year's Day terror attack in New Orleans.

During his remarks, Johnson expressed the challenges faced by the state of Louisiana in the wake of the tragic incident. He acknowledged the impact of the terrorist attack on the community, stating that it has deeply affected the people of Louisiana.
