Himes specifically criticized the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for not providing sufficient information to address the concerns of Americans. He suggested that the FAA could alleviate the uncertainty by disclosing the number of aircraft that regularly fly over New Jersey on a daily basis.
According to Himes, releasing such information would help fill the void of knowledge and prevent unfounded speculation. However, he noted that the FAA has not taken steps to provide the transparency needed to address the situation.
