Rep. Eric Swalwell has officially dropped from the gubernatorial race in California. Swalwell was accused by several women of sexual misconduct, with one former staffer alleging rape.
Swalwell announced on social media, “I am suspending my campaign for Governor. To my family, staff, friends, and supporters, I am deeply sorry for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past.” Nevertheless, the ex-candidate did not admit to any fault.
