Juana Bacallao, a beloved Cuban singer and cabaret icon, passed away at the age of 98 in Havana. Her death was confirmed by Cuba's Ministry of Culture, following her recent hospitalization. While the exact cause of her hospitalization was not disclosed, Bacallao's legacy as a performer and entertainer remains etched in Cuban history.

Bacallao was celebrated for her distinctive husky voice, daring personality, and flamboyant stage presence. She rose to fame in the 1940s and '50s, captivating audiences with her performances at the renowned Tropicana club and sharing the stage with music legends like Nat King Cole.
