Renovation opportunity arises on affluent Wirral road

There's a chance to breathe new life into a character property on a Wirral road where the average house price tops £1m.

The massive seven-bedroom detached home on Burrell Road is primed for modernisation and boasts many original features.

The living space is spread over three storeys and set in large mature grounds on the tree-lined, sought after street.

There is plenty of space in the sprawling house, with three reception rooms, two kitchens, a utility room, two downstairs toilets and a number of store rooms. And that's just the ground floor. Underfoot is stunning parquet flooring.

Five bedrooms - most of which are doubles - are located on the first floor, along with a family bathroom and two en-suites off the large bedrooms.

The top floor has two further bedrooms and loft storage.

The outside space however is the real selling point of the house. Set over a third of an acre, the grounds feature a mix of patio areas, lawned gardens and wooded areas.

According to Rightmove, the average selling prices for homes on Burrell Road were £1.02m over the last year.

The figure is an increase of 83% on the previous year and a 36% hike on the 2008 peak of £750,000.

The road is near Prenton Golf Club and a short drive away from the affluent suburb of Oxton.
