Police in Renfrewshire are stepping up patrols following reports of bogus callers.

Johnstone Community Policing team have received reports of door to door salespersons claiming to be from “Greener Energy” who have been cold calling addresses in Kilbarchan.

Officers contacted 'Greener Energy' who confirmed to them that they do not use door to door salespeople and that the cold callers in question are not associated with the company in any way.
