Clothing retailer M&Co are set to close all 170 stores this spring, according to the BBC.
The latest closures means that almost two thousand jobs will be lost at the retailer. It comes after bosses appointed administrators for a second time at the end of last year, having previously collapsed back in 2020.
Taking to Facebook they said: "Unfortunately we haven't received the news we would have hoped for during our administration period, and would like to share this news with you. As we haven’t received any funded, deliverable offers that would result in the transfer of the company’s stores or staff to a potential buyer, this means that all of our stores will close.

“The M&Co ‘brand’ has been purchased, but unfortunately this does not include a future for our stores, website or staff.”
The Renfrewshire-based company, who were formerly known as Mackays, is currently one of Scotland's well-known high street chains with several located across Glasgow and the surrounding area.
As reported by the BBC, they have been bought by AK Retail Holdings, who own Yours Clothing, however their purchase did not include physical stores and as a result, all 170 stores will roll down their shutters in just a few months time.
