Renault’s Paris Motor Show star, the E-Space Concept, is giving away more about the next Scenic than its badge suggests, with the brand’s boss revealing plans to bring back some of the Scenic’s family car’s people-carrier practicality and introduce technology previewed by the show car.
Speaking to The Independent at last week’s Paris Motor Show, Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive made clear that a new Scenic comes before any decision on a future Espace – although talk was more about the return of Renault’s iconic MPV at the show. The concept celebrates Renault’s original people carrier, but its ideas for a more flexible interior and a new approach to dashboard design offer clues to the next Scenic.
