Renan Lodi reportedly "accepts his goodbye" at Atletico Madrid as Nottingham Forest continue to be linked with a permanent move for the defender this summer.
The left-back impressed during his loan spell at the City Ground last season after arriving from La Liga side Atletico Madrid. Lodi made 32 appearances for the Reds across all competitions in 2022/23.
His solid performances for Steve Cooper's side have led to interest from Forest in signing the Brazilian permanently. However, Forest are reported to be attempting to lower the 30 million euros (£25m) fee which made up Forest’s option to buy when he was on loan last season.

And Marca claim that despite the player's departure looking inevitable, his options are beginning to look limited. Marseille have reportedly ended their interest and Benfica are said to not be able to match the requested fee for him.
The 24-year-old is reportedly training with Atletico's academy players as he remains in limbo over a future move. Lodi’s agent Pablo Miranda spoke about the left-back’s future earlier this summer, saying: “Renan's goal is to compete at the highest level.
“Many Brazilian players suffer in their first season in England and end up not playing. Renan was instrumental in Nottingham's stay in the Premier League and has everyone's recognition for what he did during that season.
“That said, his goal is to continue playing in high-level competitions, if possible, return to the Champions League and compete for titles again.”
