Jurgen Klopp reserved special praise for Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli after the attacker troubled the Liverpool defence throughout the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.
Though Klopp's side won the game 2-0 on Thursday night and progressed to the final thanks to a Diogo Jota brace, Martenilli was a thorn down the Reds' right-hand side and early on in the match kept Trent Alexander-Arnold on his heels.
His skills, pace and close control was raised after the final whistle by former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp in the Sky Sports studio who pointed out that Trent Alexander-Arnold " had a problem with Martinelli early in the game."

Speaking after the game, an unprompted Klopp made sure to highlight just how good the Brazilian forward was over the course of the 90 minutes and tipped him to have a bright future.
"Martinelli by the way...everybody should remember that name. Outstanding player," said Klopp.

It's not the first time Klopp has singled out Martinelli after watching him impress against his Liverpool side.
After a 5-5 draw in the 2019 Carabao Cup, Klopp told the club’s official website : “[Van den Berg] played an incredible game. That’s really difficult to deal with these guys.
“Martinelli’s pretty much the same age but he’s a talent of the century, he’s an incredible striker, so it’s really difficult."
