Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has suffered a potential blow to his involvement in the Gunners' second half of the season after being forced off in the 2-0 defeat to Juventus on Saturday night.
Nelson started in Mikel Arteta's front three alongside Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira but lasted only 21 minutes before being replaced by Marquinhos. football.london understands that the 23-year-old limped down the tunnel after coming off with what looked like a hamstring injury.
The injury dealt Arteta another blow to his plans for the second half of the season with Nelson set to join Gabriel Jesus in the medical room after the striker underwent surgery on a knee injury picked up at the World Cup.

Arsenal still have Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli to welcome back after the participation in Qatar but are now less equipped in the final third to compete with Manchester City for the Premier League title than they were in November.
Nelson's injury may be the final push Arteta needs to become active in the transfer window and Shakhtar Donetsk's Mykhaylo Mudryk may become a stronger requirement ahead of the hectic 2023 schedule.
However, despite suffering another setback, Hale Ender Nelson has remained upbeat and posted a three-word message on his Instagram story. It read: "Trust the process."
Nelson looked as though he had reignited his career at the Emirates Stadium with two goals against Nottingham Forest and had become an efficient substitute for Arteta in the first half of the season. The duration of his absence remains to be seen but the injury will be a huge blow to the Gunners.
