Regan Charles-Cook slammed the "keyboard warriors" who racially abused the Ross County striker following a clash with Rangers.
The Scottish Premiership top scorer scored his side's second goal in a blockbuster 3-3 draw in Dingwall in January.
A County statement in the hours after the match claims the winger has been subject to vile online messages, and Police Scotland are currently investigating the unacceptable comments.
He told The Daily Mail : "You have so many of what people call “keyboard warriors” out there. And you’re like, “Why?”.
"It just annoyed me so much because it was such a great game. It was entertaining, there were six goals, it was on TV.

"It was a great advert for the game and you’re like, “Why would you ruin a moment like that? Why?”
"I have left the police to deal with all of the fall-out. It was unnecessary, but the support I got on my social media was such that I couldn’t even keep up.
‘I even got gifts and cards sent to the club and it really felt like people were going the extra mile to support me. The feedback from fans, not just the Ross County supporters, came from all around the world."
He admits he was left with a tear in his eye during a minute’s applause the players received days later against Aberdeen in a stand against racism.
He added: "I had a little tear in my eye that night. They have my back so much here. And the support I got from fans of other clubs was outstanding."
