Farage labels Reform donations sting an ‘exercise in entrapment’

  • Nigel Farage has dismissed allegations of Reform UK breaching political donation rules, saying that his former right hand man Dan Jukes was guilty of “loose pub talk”.

  • The party launched an internal investigation into claims that a US company paid £32,500 for three polls commissioned earlier this year.
  • Undercover reporters from investigative group Verbatim posed as a wealthy American financier and his son to conduct the sting operation.
  • Mr Jukes was filmed appearing to suggest a method to circumvent UK electoral laws to secure a £500,000 foreign donation.
  • Mr Farage accused far-left activists of targeting Reform UK figures in an “exercise in entrapment”.
