Reform councillor suspended over ‘hang the dwarf’ post

Reform UK councillor David Rowan has been suspended by the party pending an investigation into resurfaced social media posts.
An account linked to the Kirklees councillor posted "Hang the Dwarf" in October 2019 regarding then-Commons speaker John Bercow.
Mr Rowan also faced backlash for homophobic comments after writing that he does not believe gay people should have children.
Further resurfaced posts showed support for far-right campaigner Tommy Robinson and suggested turning Westminster into a Wetherspoons.
A Reform UK spokesman confirmed the suspension while the party conducts a formal investigation.
