Reese Witherspoon's industrial kitchen stools make a bold statement – they're affordable and practical, too

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon has something, and we want it too. It's inevitable – because this is Reese Witherspoon, after all. So far this season, we've lusted over both her front and back porch furniture – however, now, we're moving into the kitchen – where an unexpected stool has just topped our wish list.

Enter – Reese's tractor-seat breakfast bar stool, a rustic statement piece that somehow doesn't look out of place in her otherwise contemporary space. We admit – we never thought we'd be looking to a tractor for our next kitchen must-have, but with Reese's backing, how can we refuse?

The actress, best known for Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama, is pictured on her Insta feed atop her wooden kitchen island – resting her feet on the stool in question. 'One minute you're dancing… next minute you're eating cake.. how does this keep happening?' she comments in the video.

We love that Reese has chosen a series of black stools – all of which create a juxtaposition against her white kitchen cabinetry and the neutral wooden hues seen on the bar and flooring. The result is a rare combination of contemporary-county – with a rural, industrial twist.

You can pick up the actress's stools via the Tractor Supply Co or a very similar model from Kohl's (below).

While we admit we are initially slightly surprised at Reese Witherspoon's tractor stools – a look into the ideology behind her decorating ideas reveals more about the type of space the actress wants to create – and, of course, these rustic stools fit right in.

'It’s important to me that my home feel welcoming,' she says in her book, Whiskey in a Teacup (available below). 'I want people to feel like they can sit on the furniture. You can have a beautiful house, very well decorated, but you have to be able to sit down, or else it’s not a home.'

We would say that these industrial pieces fit the bill – and fit into her kitchen seamlessly.
