Reece James hint, midfield boost - Three things spotted in Chelsea training ahead of Leeds

Chelsea have undergone training for the final time before their crunch match with Leeds United on Saturday as the side look to turn their fortunes around once and for all. The side have struggled for form as of late, registering just two wins in their last 15 fixtures, mounting pressure on manager Graham Potter.

The match against the Peacocks could be a potential "make or break" fixture for Potter, if recent reports are to be believed, adding extra emphasis on earning all three points. With training adding that further preparation for the clash, the coaching staff will be hopeful they have done all they can to have a side ready for victory.

With the latest session now pictured, here's a look at a few things spotted from Chelsea training before a huge clash against Leeds United.

Reece James hint

Chelsea defender Reece James wasn't seen as part of the pictures for the training session amid concerns over a new potential injury. Potter expanded on this, telling the media ahead of the game: "Reece [James] has a tightness in his hamstring; we are assessing him but he’s doubtful for tomorrow as well."

With the right-back not seen in the session, it could hint at the fact he may not feature at the weekend, though it remains to be seen if that's the case.

Midfield boost

Potter has been handed a major boost ahead of the match as Mateo Kovacic was pictured in training again, having missed the match with Tottenham through illness. The Croatia international was seen taking on Wesley Fofana, with the pair in line for a potential return to the starting lineup this weekend.

Inventive Potter

Potter was seen keeping a watchful eye over his training session today as pressure mounts over his job at Stamford Bridge. The manager has often been said to have inventive routines created for his players and this may have been the case again as smaller footballs were brought in for some exercises, potentially adding a different benefit to using the regulation full-sized footballs.
