Gaming tablets occupy an unusual space because a phone is easier to carry, a larger tablet gives you more screen space, and a dedicated handheld gives you physical controls. For a gaming tablet to really stand out, it needs to offer something more than simply putting a powerful processor inside an Android device.
The REDMAGIC Astra 2 takes a much more focused approach with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 9.06-inch 185Hz OLED display and REDMAGIC's AquaCore Cooling System 2.0. After using it for both gaming and ordinary tablet tasks, it feels less like a normal tablet with gaming features added afterward and more like something designed around gaming from the beginning.
