When moving house, we all dread the possibility of being stuck with nightmare neighbours who nab parking spots, divert post or make loud noise - but when you find out you're the neighbour causing the trouble, it can often be quite embarrassing. While some neighbours are deliberately antagonistic, you may be frustrating nearby homeowners without knowing, as noise carries particularly badly through thin walls or when windows and doors are left open.
One woman was left mortified when she received a handwritten note through her door from a nearby neighbour who was complaining about the 'extremely loud' noises coming from her bedroom.
