Lewis Capaldi has been trolled by his own mum who spotted him with a “mangina” during a TV appearance. The Scots superstar shared a screenshot of the hilarious WhatsApp exchange with mum Carol after she called him out for the awkward trouser situation.
Ending the message with a laughing emoji, she wrote: “Watched u on STV. You look as if you’ve got a mangina.” Lewis replied “Thanks mum x” before sharing the hilarious messages with his social media followers on Friday night.
The star, from Whitburn, West Lothian, included a grab of himself during the show, which clearly showed his trousers creeping up, and wrote: “Well that’s just terrific.”
Dozens of followers applauded Carol for her efforts with many others stating they too had noticed the awkward wardrobe malfunction.
One Twitter user wrote: “It’s comforting to know even celebrities get humbled by their mothers.”
Another said: “We thought the same when we were watching you on the interview as well. Sorry Lewis but yer maw knows best.” A third commented “your biggest fan and your harshest critic” while a fourth posted: “Well… we shall all thank your mum for pointing this out.”
Others fans thought up new nicknames for the singer including “Lewis Camelpaldi” and “Looselips Capaldi”
Specsavers even got involved and tweeted: “*Removes glasses*.”
The side-splitting tweet has already received over 77,000 likes and more than 3800 retweets.
