Red Bull will pull the covers off their RB19 car livery on Friday as part of their 2023 Formula 1 season launch event.
The defending champions have headed across the pond to kick off the new campaign, putting on a show in New York City for F1's massive new American audience. The sport's popularity in the US has exploded in recent years, while the country will host three Grands Prix this year.
Red Bull will be the second team to show off their new livery ahead of the upcoming season. They had planned on being the first, but Haas waited until every other team had set a date before jumping in to show off their car on Tuesday.
Nevertheless, Red Bull have much more planned than a simple car reveal. The season launch event is set to be an eye-catching affair, taking place in the Big Apple and with Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Daniel Ricciardo all present, along with team boss Christian Horner.
As well as a new car design, Red Bull are likely to show off brand new teamwear having recently signed a deal with Castore to replace the old merchandising agreement they had with Puma.
The event will also be used to announce a new link-up with Ford – a partnership between the American automotive brand and the F1 team's powertrains division. The carmaker has send influencers and content creators to New York at the same time as Red Bull's launch, while sources told Mirror Sport last weekend that a deal was close.
While the team's plans to host their launch part in New York pre-date those talks with Ford, it makes sense to announce the link-up in the US, where the carmaker is based.
