Confiscations of dangerous e-bikes by police forces across the UK have risen by 83 per cent over a single year following targeted operations.
Data obtained by the Press Association through freedom-of-information requests reveals that 7,049 machines were seized in the 12 months to 19 May, compared with 3,858 in the previous period.
