Shocking footage of a group driving recklessly and pulling motorbike stunts along Edinburgh's Royal Mile has been shared online.
A clip of the dangerous antics being performed on the busy city centre roads was posted to TikTok late on Saturday, August 20. The video shows a driver wearing a hoodie speeding along the cobblestone streets at the bottom of the Mile, Edinburgh Live reports.
He then begins to pull wheelies while clambering over to one side of the motorbike before moving towards the top. The man then continues to crouch on the crossbar of the bike as it continues towards the junction with South Bridge.
The TikTok comes amid a dramatic rise in motorbike thefts and videos of locals pulling risky stunts across the capital. In June, a driver was seen carrying a small child on the front of an off-road bike while driving at dangerous speeds in Sighthill Park.
More recently, Snapchat footage showed a biker driving on the wrong lane, weaving through traffic and also pulling wheelies. Edinburgh Police have recently launched Operation Soteria to try and crack down on motorbike related crimes throughout the capital.
