Reckless driver narrowly misses swimming toddlers after ploughing through backyard

A family in Texas had a narrow escape when a car crashed through their garden fence and narrowly missed their children playing in their backyard pool.

David and Brittney Van Dusen live close to the Heritage Trace Parkway in Fort Worth.

Surveillance footage from their home security camera shows a speeding car crashing through the fence and narrowly missing their two-year-old. Their five-year-old twins were close by in the pool at the time as well.

In a Facebook post, Brittney said the driver was only fine $200 for reckless driving. The Van Dusens are now calling for tougher penalties for dangerous speeders.
