Rebel Wilson has revealed she got banned from Disneyland for 30 days after taking a photo inside a secret bathoom.
The Pitch Perfect actress, 42, made the surprising revelation during a recent interview, however the punishment wasn’t quite as harsh as it seemed.
Speaking on The Daily Show, the Australian native explained: “I did get banned from Disneyland for 30 days because I took a photo inside a secret bathroom, which is illegal, at Disneyland.
“I got officially banned for 30 days. They called me up and said, ‘Rebel what 30 days did you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?’
“And I was like, ‘Oh, well, June would be fine.’”
Regardless of the temporary ban, the Bridesmaids star went on to describe how much she loves Disneyland, as she talked about going to the theme park for “every important holiday and life event”.
She also shared how she spent the night at the park during one of her birthdays.“I did actually get to sleep inside Disneyland for my 40th birthday,” she said. “So I got to sleep overnight, and I got those little disability scooters and went around just by myself, like cruising around.”
The California theme park now holds a particularly special place in Wilson’s heart as it is where she and fiancée Ramona Agruma got engaged last month.
She sought special permission from Disney CEO Bob Iger to pop the question at the “happiest place on Earth”.
Opening up about her decision during a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she said: “He’s the big, big boss and I thought, ‘Well, if he says yes, then it was meant to be, and I was meant to propose that day at Disneyland’.
“I had to get special permission to get a special area roped off and get the topiary trees in and, you know, I had a violinist playing like Disney classics, and it was very, really romantic,” she added.
Wilson admitted that since she had never been engaged before, she was totally sure how to go about things.
She continued: “She said yes. And I was like, ‘Do I get down on one knee? What do I do?’ And I was like, ‘I may as well,’ so I got down on one knee.
“And then she was like, ‘What are you doing?’ And goes, ‘Well, you can’t be the only one on your knee,’ so she got down as well,’ Wilson said.
Laughing, Wilson added: “It was just beautiful and she said yes and then I was like, ‘OK, great!’”
