Rebekah Vardy has said she regrets making a comment about Peter Andre body in a former interview. The 40-year-old, who is married to Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, has given her first TV interview after losing her libel trial against Coleen Rooney.
On Friday a judge found that fellow WAG Coleen, the wife of former England, Manchester United and Everton footballer Wayne Rooney, did not libel her fellow WAG after she publicly accused Vardy of leaking false stories about her to the press in a case dubbed 'Wagatha Christie.' Coleen, 36, conducted a social media sting to find out who was leaking false stories she had planted on her private Instagram account.
In October 2019 Coleen revealed her findings on social media, concluded with the now-famous words: "It’s … Rebekah Vardy’s account." During the High Court battle in May Rebekah was asked about an interview she gave to the News of the World in 2004 in which she described Mysterious Girl singer Peter's manhood as a "small chipolata."

Coleen's lawyer David Sherborne was cross-examining Rebekah when he probed her about the newspaper interview in which she went into detail about a claimed sexual encounter with the former I'm A Celebrity star. After the comments were brought to public attention once more Peter voiced his upset in a video shared on social media and asked people to consider ‘how it would feel if it was the other way round.'
He said: "Ok yes, we all know now it was just a made-up story, but it’s a little more serious than that – and I don’t think it’s fair something like this can happen again and again and we talk about all sorts of things, about mental health, about being kind, all that sort of stuff, and nothing seems to have changed. You know, there you go."
Speaking to TalkTV’s Kate McCann in a pre-recorded interview on Wednesday Rebekah said about the Peter Andre story: "I didn’t leak that, that was a story that I put my name to and it was something that I deeply regret and I’m deeply ashamed of."
And she added: "That was wrong for him to be brought into that situation and that had nothing to do with it and what I was accused of."
The judge described Rebekah's evidence as "inconsistent, evasive and implausible" . And they found Coleen's claim that she had leaked personal information about her was "substantially true."
