In a recent development, Rebecca Ferguson has signed on to star alongside Chris Pratt in the upcoming sci-fi thriller, Mercy, produced by Amazon MGM Studios. The film, directed by Timur Bekmambetov and written by Marco van Belle, follows Pratt's character, a detective in a future where crime rates are soaring. He is falsely accused of a violent crime and must prove his innocence.
The project was brought to Amazon MGM Studios by producer Charles Roven and will be co-produced by Robert Amidon, Bekmambetov, and Majd Nassif. Production is set to begin in spring 2024, with plans for a worldwide theatrical release.
