Reason Bolton Wanderers' FA Cup Barnsley clash has moved to 2pm kick-off despite not being on TV

Bolton Wanderers' first round FA Cup clash at homerto Barnsley has been moved to a slightly earlier kick-off due to a snooker tournament taking place the club's stadium.

The Whites will take on the Tykes at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday, November 5. A place in the second round and prize money of £41,000 is up for grabs for whichever side wins.

The match has not been selected for television coverage over the first round weekend. The game will remain on its original date of Saturday.

But the game has been switched to a 2pm kick-off, rather than 3pm. It has been done owing to the Cazoo Champion of Champions snooker tournament taking place at the stadium, and the move has been agreed with Barnsley.

A statement on Bolton's website read: "The first-round tie will kick off at 2pm to avoid a clash with the second semi-final of the Cazoo Champion of Champions snooker tournament taking place in the Premier Suite at the University of Bolton Stadium from 31 October-6 November.

"Wanderers have a successful, long-term partnership with Matchroom Multi Sport Ltd and are happy to continue to work closely with Matchroom by moving the kick-off forward by an hour to accommodate the evening session of the snooker, which gets underway later that evening and is being screened live on ITV 4.

"Wanderers would like to place on record our thanks to Barnsley FC for working with us to accommodate this request."
