Real Madrid have joined Liverpool in demanding answers from UEFA and the French authorities over the Champions League final chaos that left supporters "helpless and defenceless" from being attacked.
The Reds have written to UEFA asking for clarification on the proposed investigation into the events at the Stade de France before, during and after Saturday evening's game in Paris, which Liverpool lost 1-0.
Despite an overwhelming weight of evidence to the contrary, French interior minister Gerald Darmanin and sport minister Amelie Oudea-Castera maintain Reds fans were to blame while also dismissing suggestions of any trouble at the Real end of the stadium.
