Real Madrid were crowned European champions for the 15th time by beating Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium.
In a tight Champions League final, Madrid were on the back foot for much of the first half but they managed to keep Dortmund at bay.
The German side did not take their chances and they were made to pay as Madrid struck twice in the final 16 minutes.
Dani Carvajal broke the deadlock and then Vinicius Jr made it 2-0 to ensure Carlo Ancelotti’s side were crowned winners of this season’s Champions League.
Simon Collings was Wembley to see Real Madrid in action...
Kept Real Madrid in the game with a string of big saves. Showed why he got the nod over Andriy Lunin, even after his performances earlier on. Another monster display from Courtois, who was man of the match in the 2022 final.
Dani Carvajal 8
Made a big tackle early on when Karim Adeyemi got round Courtois. Capped off a fine performance by heading home the winner.
Antonio Rudiger 7
His compatriot Niclas Fullkrug managed to cause him problems early on, but recovered well by the end. A rock at the back.
Nacho 7
A very solid performance from the Madrid captain. Almost made it 2-0 but was denied by a brilliant save.
Ferland Mendy 6
A bit loose in possession every now and then, however defensively he was sound. Kept Jadon Sancho quiet.
Federico Valverde 7
A ball of energy, both on and off the ball. Made a few vital tackles, in particular, and carried a threat going forward.
His final game at club level and he bowed out in style. So composed on the ball and setup the winner with a great corner. Oozed class all night.

Eduardo Camavinga 8
Justified his selection and rose to the occasion. Excellent off the ball and won possession high up the pitch when he could. Almost scored a brilliant curling effort.
Jude Bellingham 7
Struggled to get into the match, but came alive towards the end. So close to scoring with a header and then setup Madrid’s second goal.
Rodrygo 6
A pretty quiet performance compared to his fellow Brazilian up top. The odd nice dart, but didn’t cause many problems.
Vinicius Jr 8 | Star player
Electric when on the ball - even in the tightest of spaces. Got better as the game went on and scored Madrid’s second with a well-taken finish.
