Real Madrid eye transfer hijack for Brazilian wonderkid on the verge of Chelsea January deal

Brazilian wonderkid's have been catching significant attention from many top European sides over the last few months with Andrey Santos the latest player linked with a huge move to Europe. Palmeiras stars Endrick and Danilo are also firmly on the radar of several of the best football clubs in the world.

The future of Endrick seems destined to be with a Champions League-level club very soon after he exploded onto the scene with Palmeiras this season helping them clinch the Brazilian Serie A title alongside long-term Arsenal target Danilo.

Chelsea are keen admirers of Endrick and have now also set their sights on Andrey Santos, who plays in Brazilian Serie B for Vasco da Gama, although they have just clinched promotion to Brazil's top flight.

The Brazilian midfielder spent his entire youth career with Vasco da Gama, joining the club when he was just seven, before making his senior debut earlier this year where he soon became a first-team regular.

Santos made 36 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight goals and the performances of the wonderkid have caught the eye of Barcelona, PSG, and Newcastle United, but a deal to Chelsea may have already been agreed.

French outlet Le10 Sport write that Chelsea are set to agree a £15m deal for the 18-year-old, and that the Blues have moved swiftly to ensure the deal is wrapped quickly.

The report also adds that Chelsea’s proposal ‘was considered more consistent with the player’s expectations’ as opposed to PSG and barring any late change of heart, Santos is set to arrive at Stamford Bridge in January. However, a tempting new option seems to have emerged which could prompt Santos to change his mind.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Santos is now on the radar of European champions Real Madrid, who are also eyeing a potential swoop for Endrick.

It is unclear whether or not Madrid have put forward a proposal, but just hearing of the interest from Carlo Ancelotti's side, Santos could decline Chelsea's proposal in favour of a move to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
