NeNe Leakes' young son is 'lucky to be alive' after suffering from a 'stroke and heart attack'.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star's 23-year-old son Brentt was reportedly rushed to the hospital following the horrifying medical episode.
Quoting sources, TMZ say Brentt suffered the "frightening" ordeal in Atlanta and is "lucky to be alive" on a "long road to recovery".
"Brentt was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention," said the outlet. "He suffered both a heart attack and a stroke."
They added: "Brentt was hospitalised for several days, he's now out and rehabbing ... and everyone is hopeful he will make a full recovery."
NeNe shares Brentt, who featured on Real Housewives of Atlanta alongside his brother Bryson, with her late husband Gregg who died following a battle with cancer last year.
The Mirror has contacted NeNe's representatives for comment.
NeNe made headlines last year towards the end of her husband's life after famously announcing the news of his health decline during a nightclub appearance.
She made the announcement at the club she owns in Georgia called the Linnethia Lounge after being offended by customers calling her rude for not wishing someone a happy birthday.
Following the incident, the reality TV star addressed party-goers to tell them her feelings.
In a video shared by Onsite! at the time, NeNe can be seen saying: "My husband is transitioning to the other side."
She then shocked onlookers as she turned to speak directly with the group that seemingly criticised her.
She slammed them, saying: "You don’t know what we're dealing with right now. We walked in this lounge because we had to walk in this lounge because this is our business.
"So, when people approach and say 'you're rude because you don’t want to say happy birthday' — my husband is at home dying. I don't want to say 'happy birthday."
She added: "My husband is losing his life right now."
People in the crowd appeared sympathetic to the star's words and could be heard supporting her in the clip.
She ended her update by saying: "My husband will not be here in the next couple of days."
