RBSO opens 2022 season with Mozart, Beethoven symphonies

Roeland Hendrikx.

Two stellar international musicians will return to perform with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra during "Roeland Hendrikx Plays Mozart Clarinet Concerto" in the Main Hall of Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaphisek Road, on Saturday at 7.30pm.

Presented by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, the classical concert will feature Mozart's Clarinet Concerto In A Major, which is one of the greatest works composed for the instrument.

The timeless masterpiece will be rendered by Belgian clarinet player Hendrikx, who has appeared as clarinet soloist with, amongst others, the Belgium National Orchestra, the Flemish Symphony Orchestra, the Limberg Symphonic Orchestra, the Georgia Philharmonic and the Symphonic Orchestra of Lithuania.

Leading the orchestra will be Dutch conductor Sander Teepen, a former oboist, who has been guest conductor at many orchestras including the Hague Philharmonic Orchestra, the Metropole Orchestra and the South Netherlands Philharmonic. He has also been appointed assistant conductor at the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.

Tickets cost 400, 800, 1,200, 1,600 and 2,000 baht (half prices for students and the seniors aged 60 and above) and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major outlets (visit thaiticketmajor.com).
