The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) unanimously voted to raise the policy repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.50% after a detailed assessment of evolving macroeconomic and financial conditions, developments and the outlook.

The Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) rate now stands at 5.25%, while the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate and bank rate have been raised to 5.75%.
