Razer's Shure lookalike microphone is legit, but it's left me asking where the rest of this brand's content creation gear is in 2026

A Razer Seiren V3 Pro lying on a desk.

Razer's a little late to the party, but its first attempt at creating a multi-connection microphone is here. The Razer Seiren V3 Pro has capacity for both an XLR and a USB connection, and with a serious, studio, Shure-reminiscent design, it's clear that Team Sneki has not come to play around. This looks and sounds like a contender for the top spots on our best microphones for streaming and gaming list, but does it sound like one?

I, for one, am a little surprised to see some pro-level content creation gear coming from Razer in this day and age. Its Stream Controller X has been all but discontinued since Loupedeck was bought over by Logitech. Its presence in the capture card space is pretty much dead; its USB microphones are tiny, unicorn vomit devices that, although sound great, don't look like they want to be taken seriously. The Seiren V3 Pro has a professional, studio look to it that reinstates this brand as a name in content creation again. That said, I can't help but feel its XLR connection is without a friend because Razer's Razer Streaming Mixer is so out of date it should be in a museum.
