Raye has reflected on opening for Taylor Swift on the final night of her ERAS Tour at Wembley and says she feels ‘grateful’ for the experience.
It has been a big year for the 26-year-old London-born singer-songwriter who won eight BRIT Awards in March.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, she uploaded a slew of pictures capturing some of her highlights from the last couple of months, including getting to open for the biggest popstar currently on the planet.
In addition to a cute Polaroid of Raye and Swift embracing, she revealed that she had received a handwritten note from the Shake It Off hit-maker.
And if that wasn’t impressive enough, the note was sealed with a special blue wax seal featuring the initials “TS” like it had come straight from Hogwarts or something.
It read: Raye, I am such a massive fan of yours and have been for years. I can’t believe my luck that you said ‘yes’ and are joining us for such an important night on the Eras Tour, our last night at Wembley.”
She signed off with: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart, love Taylor”.
Well, what can you say to that.
Raye captioned her post: “So grateful to open for @taylorswift so grateful for the festivals and shows, so grateful people actually turn up to see us now, so grateful to be a musician, so grateful Instagram let me add more pictures in my dump.”
“big kiss from me,” she added to her 1.8m followers, along with a red love heart emoji.
