The Baltimore Ravens currently have five picks in the 2023 NFL draft as they will look to build their roster out with young talent. Their first round pick is at No. 22 overall, but they could opt to trade back in the attempt to add more draft capital.
In his latest 2023 mock draft, Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports has Baltimore taking a star wide receiver in the first round in TCU’s Quentin Johnson. When explaining his choice, Fornelli talked about how Johnson has some weaknesses in his game, but could pair well with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, assuming he’s the team’s quarterback in 2023.
“Baltimore’s never-ending quest to find a receiver to pair with Lamar Jackson continues with Johnston. He’s not the most fluid athlete nor the most polished route runner, but Johnston is a nightmare on slants underneath and can get over the top of a defense. I think he’d pair well with Lamar.”
