The Baltimore Ravens selected Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton with the 14th overall selection in the 2022 NFL draft. He was expected to be picked much earlier than where he ended up going, but Baltimore ends up benefiting from Hamilton’s fall while the rookie became part of a great franchise.
The Ravens introduced Hamilton to the media after he was drafted, and the former Notre Dame star already looks like a part of the team. When asked if it made him feel better after falling so far that he ended up in Baltimore with their defense, Hamilton said it did, talking about how it was “a blessing”.
“Yes, that’s kind of what I was just saying. Looking back on it, it may feel or seem like a big deal now, but I think I fell to the perfect place and perfect situation. Honestly, it’s a blessing, and I’m just excited to be here.”

Hamilton should be able to play a hybrid role on defense and line up all over the field, as the Ravens’ secondary is an extremely deep unit. It’s going to be interesting to see how much of an impact he makes in the secondary as well as what he’s able to learn from such as talented Chuck Clark, Marcus Williams, and Tony Jefferson II.
