The Baltimore Ravens have been reconstructing certain parts of their roster over the course of the 2022 offseason, bringing in new players while watching others depart for new opportunities. The team spent on some quality players in free agency as well as re-signed some of their own, leaving no stone unturned as they try to improve their roster as much as possible.
Due to the team doing some reshaping to their team, they blew through most of their cap space and had under $1 million to work with. They needed to clear up cap somehow, and Field Yates of ESPN reported on Monday that the team restructured the contract of CB Marlon Humphrey, freeing up over $7 million in much needed cap room.
The Ravens have converted $8.965M of star CB Marlon Humphrey’s $10M base salary into a signing bonus, creating $7.172M in salary cap space, per source.
