On Saturday afternoon, the Baltimore Ravens announced that they officially activated rookie running back Rasheen Ali from injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s contest against the Washington Commanders.
The fifth-round draft choice out of Marshall will be the RB3 behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
Thus far, we have not seen the third-string running back feature in a game yet, but you never know. This could mark the debut of Ali, who was designated to IR in September after suffering a neck injury.
Ali, who also suffered a biceps injury in the offseason, was electric on the college level, both as a runner and as a pass catcher. He could fit in very well with the Ravens’ offense, providing quarterback Lamar Jackson with yet another dangerous weapon to work with.
Ali rushed for 1,135 yards and 15 touchdowns last year at Marshall. And in 2021, he put up 1,401 yards rushing and an astonishing 23 rushing touchdowns.
