The Baltimore Ravens received a phenomenal rookie season out of wide receiver Zay Flowers in 2023. He was the team’s No. 1 wide receiver for the entirety of the year and gave quarterback Lamar Jackson a consistent weapon to throw to at wide receiver.
Jackson was asked about Flowers as the former Boston College standout enters Year 2. He mentioned that Flowers is still a hungry guy who is trying to make things happen.
“I’m seeing the same thing. It’s just his age [that] is different now. He’s still that hungry guy. He’s trying to make things happen, and every time the ball is in his area, he’s making something happen. If he’s making a guy miss, he’s just being him.”
Despite his success during his rookie year, plenty of improvement still needs to be made. That’s a scary proposition for the NFL, as Flowers already proved to be a nuisance last season.
