The Baltimore Ravens have multiple inside linebackers on their roster with immense potential. One of those players was the team’s top selection in the 2020 draft in Patrick Queen, who was picked at No. 28 overall.
When Queen spoke to the Baltimore media, he was asked about where he feels he’s made the biggest strides during the 2022 offseason. He talked about how he feels more comfortable, and not being as frightened by formations or alignments while also being more vocal.
“I think just being more comfortable. Being vocal, and actually just communicating and understanding stuff now. Not even being frightened by, ‘This formation or that formation.’ Or, ‘I’ve got this responsibility, or I’ve got that responsibility.’ Just being able to be more vocal, more open and more open-minded to stuff, and just being able to play football and being able to relax.”
Queen struggled during the first part of the 2021 season, but ended up putting together a very solid second half of the year. He played well off of fellow inside linebacker Josh Bynes, who saw his role increase beginning in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
