Ravens hire Kerry Dixon as assistant quarterbacks coach

The Baltimore Ravens have gone through quite a few coaching changes during the 2022 offseason. Some have been bigger than others, but each will impact the organization in some way, shape or form as the team looks to get back to dominance after a disappointing 2021.

On Monday, the Ravens announced that they added another coach to their staff in Kerry Dixon, who will be the assistant quarterbacks coach. Dixon has spent most of his career in the college ranks, most recently at Georgia Tech as the wide receivers coach.

Dixon has also spent time at Toledo and Florida, as well as many other schools. Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic made it clear that Dixon will assist Ravens quarterbacks coach James Urban.

Dixon has had plenty of success developing offensive talent throughout his career as a coach and he should be able to have an extremely positive impact on the players that he coaches in Baltimore. He has a wide array of experience working in a many different roles, so he can use that to assist multiple positional groups at getting better if needed.

Having experienced coaches on any staff can help develop players and make sure they are are getting the best possible advice.  By bringing in Dixon, the Ravens believe that he can use what he’s learned to benefit their team in multiple ways both on and off of the field.
