The Baltimore Ravens suffered numerous major injuries at the running back position over the course of the 2021 season. Before the year began the team lost J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill, and during the season there were a few others such that missed time such as Latavius Murray.
Entering the 2022 offseason, it was known that the team could look to add plenty of running back depth in order to avoid another year like 2021 at the position. Baltimore brought in veteran running back Mike Davis, and when head coach John Harbaugh was asked about his impressions of the veteran he talked about the traits that are eye openers, and even mentioned rookie running back Tyler Badie in his answer.
“[I’m] very positive about Mike Davis. He shows up as a veteran running back. [He’s] quick, has really good vision, and he’s always been a good receiving running back, but when you see it in person, it kind of opens your eyes. I’ll say, Tyler Badie, too, is a receiving running back. These guys kind of jumped out that way in these camps.”
